Mariah is the Special Assistant to the President in Charge of Charter Schools for the BMCC CSO. Mariah is a graduate of Bay Mills Community College. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Community Development with a concentration in General Administration and a Master’s of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. Mariah is a member of the Bay Mills Indian Community.

Pat is the Information System Administrator for the BMCC CSO. Pat attended Lake Superior State University, where he acquired an Associate degree in Internet/Network Specialist and a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. He also obtained a Master’s of Science Administration for Information Resource Management from Central Michigan University. Pat is a member of the Bay Mills Indian Community.

Nancy is the Governance Specialist for the Charter Schools Office. She has taught all grades from first through university, only not having the opportunity to teach kindergarten.   In addition to teaching in the traditional public schools for 18 years, she taught adult education in alternative situations including 14 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections. She retired as superintendent of Rudyard Area Schools. She holds a PhD (ABD) from Western Michigan University in Educational Leadership.

Katherine is the Curriculum Specialist for the Bay Mills Charter School Office.  She is responsible for tracking academic achievement at BMCC’s public school academies.  Among other duties, Katherine serves on the reauthorization team, reviews school curriculum and assists in coordinating conferences for school leaders and board members.  She obtained her Bachelor of Art in Education and a Master’s degree in Instruction and Curriculum Design from Lake Superior State University and an Education Specialist degree from the University of Michigan – Flint.  Katherine has taught in the K-12 setting as well as at the college level. She currently holds a Teaching Certificate as well as a School Administrator Certificate from the state of Michigan.  Katherine is a member of the Bay Mills Indian Community.

Will is the Finance Specialist for the BMCC CSO. He is responsible for reviewing the financial submissions and determining the financial status of all academies authorized by Bay Mills Community College. Will earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas; in addition to teaching K - 12 in the Greater Kansas City Metro Area, Will is a 23-year United States Army Veteran who served as a qualified Senior Legal Administrator and is a graduate of the Warrant Officer Career College and The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School.  Will is a member of the Bay Mills Indian Community.

Patrick is the Director of Field Operations for the BMCC CSO. He oversees field representatives and academy visits. Patrick has spent 21 years in the field of education. He has been a science teacher in private and public schools, as well as an assistant principal and principal at the high school level. Patrick earned a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University and a Master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Leadership from Oakland University. He currently possesses a valid teaching and administrative certifications from the state of Michigan.

Les is a Field Representative for BMCC CSO. He has been in the field of education for numerous years and has taught industrial education at various levels. Les has served as an Adjunct Instructor at Grand Rapids Community College and is currently serving in this position at Montcalm Community College. He holds an Associate’s degree from Grand Rapids Jr. College, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education from Central Michigan University, and a Masters of Arts degree in Industrial Education and Technology.

Albert is the Field Representative for the BMCC CSO. Albert earned an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Bay Mills Community College; a certificate in Turfgrass Management – Golf from Michigan State University; a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis on management, from Lake Superior State University; a Master’s of Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from the University of Michigan- Flint; and an Education Specialist degree, with a Central Office and School Administrator Certification, from the University of Michigan- Flint. Albert is a member of the Bay Mills Indian Community and is the acting Tribal Treasurer.

Dr. Jose Valderas is a Field Representative for BMCC CSO. Jose has served as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Director of State and Federal Programs at Saginaw Public Schools, Executive Director of Secondary Education Programs and Federal/State Programs and Director of Bilingual Teacher Training Programs at Saginaw Valley State University. He holds a Doctorate in Education from Wayne State, a Master’s of Arts degree from the University of New Mexico, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University with a Secondary Teacher’s Certification and Bilingual Education Endorsement.

Holly is an Associate General Counsel and FOIA Coordinator for the BMCC CSO.  Holly obtained her Bachelor Degree from the University of Michigan and majored in Political Science.  She then earned a Masters in Public Administration from Kent State University while also serving as a Graduate Assistant.  Holly then served as a Robert Millender Fellow in the Mayor’s Office in Detroit, Michigan.  She also earned her Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University and is a licensed attorney.  Holly is a member of the Bay Mills Indian Community.
